HOW IT WORKS
Each participant submits one full 1–20 prediction of the final Premier League table. When the season ends, every team you predicted earns points, and those points are weighted by how high up the real table that team finished.
Nail the exact position: 20. Every place you're off, in either direction, costs 1. Predict Newcastle 6th → they finish 4th or 8th, that's 18. Finish 14th, that's 12.
A club finishing 1st carries a weight of 20, 2nd is 19, 3rd is 18 … down to 20th, worth 1. The weight comes from where the club actually finished.
A perfect table scores 4,200 — 20 accuracy points × the 210 total weight across all positions. Highest total wins.
- Worked example: you predict Liverpool 3rd, they finish 1st. Accuracy = 20 − 2 = 18. Weight = 20. Points = 360.
- Same 2-place miss lower down: Everton predicted 15th, finish 17th. Accuracy 18 × weight 4 = 72. The top of the table is where contests are won.
- All 20 clubs must be used exactly once. Picks lock at the first kick-off of the season.
- Ties are broken by exact hits, then by the highest single-team score.
